Nominated for Outstanding Student of the Year, CIPD Awards

Congratulations to Channel56’s Angelina Fusco who has been Nominated for Outstanding Student of the Year at the CIPD NI Awards.
She is currently studying at Belfast Met for CIPD Level 5 Diploma in Learning and Development. Angelina entered her facilitation and training on the topic of Journalism & Trauma for journalists in post conflict societies in Georgia and Ukraine.
“I am delighted to be nominated in this category. Throughout my career I have been a big advocate for lifelong learning. It’s challenging and a bit weird to be a mature student after 30+ years in the news business. (Angelina was Head of TV news at BBC Northern Ireland for 15 years, and spent a total of 30 years at Broadcasting House Belfast.) It was great to share my learning and experience of covering the Troubles/Conflict in NI with others in Georgia and Ukraine who are experiencing similar issues. My lecturers at Belfast Met have been extremely supportive and encouraging. I wish all the nominees at this year’s CIPD NI Awards good luck and a great night! “
